Let us get one thing straight and clear. All of us in NIME are natural or legal/corporate Nigerians - the soul, heart, mind and hope of all of Africa. Therefore, we owe it a duty to all Africa to get our act together and quickly become the giant and light of Africa in reality, which is our destiny.

The rightful place to start this process of making Nigeria truly great among countries is in the Nigerian maritime economy, which is between 60 and 75% of the aggregate Nigerian economy. That Nigeria has been floundering is basically because its maritime economy has been in tatters and firmly in the hands of foreigners who do not and cannot share the lofty aspirations of patriotic indigenes of Nigeria.

In 2003, we founded Marine Club of Nigeria (MCN) to alter the course of the Nigerian maritime economy. After long years of necessary rebranding, restructuring and repositioning, MCN - the incorporated umbrella association of professionals, practitioners, stakeholders, existing and prospective investors in the Nigerian Maritime Economy (NIME) - is poised for full achievement of our vision and mission.

We must bring together all maritime-economy persons - who are practically domiciled in the public and private sectors of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies - under one MCN roof in order for us all to follow the one course of vision we have charted for the NIME to "DESTINATION 2039": Nigeria as the undisputed greatest maritime-economy country in Africa and one of the topmost maritime-economy countries in the world.

Come onboard and let us make it happen for us and future generations of Nigerians.
